Sooooo darn HOT!!! This is a personal rescue. I bought this gorgeous fire opal for myself years ago, and it has been sitting in the safe, in the dark, crying. It is a fabulous orange color with LOTS and LOTS of fire, or as we call it in the trade, "play of color".
I have wrapped in a beautiful 14K yellow gold mounting with a sophisticated rope motif. The top of the bezel is accented with full cut melee diamond 0.055ct. The diamond is G-H color and VS clarity. The magnificent fire opal weighs 5.20cts. It does have some crazing but it has stayed like this for years, and it was just fine during the setting process so I expect this beauty to be just fine for years to come.
Keep in mind all opals are soft and can not be dropped or subjected to drastic heat shifts. They are delicate.
The piece is suspeneded from a yellow gold chain that is not included in this price. I will list the chain separately.
